R + J Wedding Day

Romantic Summer Wedding at River Bottoms Ranch, Utah | Brynlee Paige Photography

Weddings

This August day was nothing short of perfect for Rachel and Jess. From the moment I arrived at the beautiful River Bottoms Ranch in Midway, Utah, the weather was perfect. I was greeted by the amazing planning team with Creating Life Moments, as well as my second shooter of the day, Paige Mckenzi. After we photographed the flat lay details, we started upstairs in Rachel’s room with her and her bridesmaids. The sweet bride and her mom opened gifts from each other and we popped champagne. I always recommend doing a first look with your bridesmaids because the one Rach did with her girls was the sweetest moment! And we couldn’t leave dad out, we had him turn around as she walked down the grand staircase. It was such a sweet moment as he opened his gift from her.

Heading downstairs to Jess’s room, I couldn’t believe how chill the energy was. Everyone was laughing and hanging out, it was the best time. We got her dressed in her incredibly sharp blue tux and then opened the gift from her bride. One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is a private first look before the ceremony. Before the first look, we did a first touch around the famous big windowed doors. Both brides were READY to see each other. After a couple of minutes setting up around the corner, Jess turned around to see her bride in her dress. It was such a sweet moment to be a part of!

The day went so quickly, the next thing I know we are headed down to the ceremony area out on the lawn next to the lake. The florals lining the aisle ended in a large floor piece where the couple stood in the middle. There were flowers of every color you could imagine, which I found out from Lizy, the florist, is they were all locally sourced. One of my favorite moments during this ceremony was when the sweet flower girl started throwing the flower petals. She quickly realized it wasn’t cutting it so she dumped the whole basket out!

Each vendor played key roles in making this wedding what it was! The florals were locally sourced and beautifully arranged. The planning and catering team were organized and executed every detail perfectly. The couple was surrounded by people who love them and the energy was contagious. After the ceremony, after first dances, after the cake was cut, the couple and I went out into the field of long green grass near the horses. I remember it being so peaceful. After a day full of laughter, nerves and thanking people for coming, it was nice to watch Rachel + Jess take it all in. I think t’s so important to find time in your day for quiet moments like these.

Drinks, cold sparklers, photo booth, treats, the best music by DJ Jerry and the best company made the BEST dance party!! It was one of those dance parties that I found myself in the middle enjoying the night along with everyone else. R + J changed into epic party attire and showed off their matching Converse. I could go on and on about this beautiful day, but really would rather you look at all the pictures instead! ENJOY.
