A + M’s September Red Butte Garden wedding began with rain and turned into a beautiful day in Salt Lake City. Their celebration brought together a garden ceremony, mini golf during cocktail hour, and dinner in a space with a special family connection.

Friends and family came ready to celebrate these two. With Everson Events guiding the day, A + M could enjoy the people and plans they had brought together.

Getting Ready at The Grand America

The bride started her day at The Grand America in downtown Salt Lake City before heading to Red Butte Garden.

The weather kept us watching the sky early on. Thankfully, the rain gave way to a beautiful day, and the gardens made such a lovely setting for their celebration.

A Red Butte Garden Wedding in the Fragrance Garden

A + M exchanged vows in the Fragrance Garden, surrounded by greenery and the people they love.

One of my favorite things about photographing a garden wedding is how much the setting brings to the photographs. There are places for wider portraits that show the landscape, along with little corners for quieter moments together.

For A + M, that included a portrait on the garden swing. Between the greenery, white flowers, and their wedding attire, it was such a beautiful spot to pause together.

Mini Golf During Cocktail Hour

A + M love golf, so they brought mini golf into their wedding for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour.

It was a fun way to share something they love while giving everyone an easy activity to join. Guests could play a round, mingle, and spend time together between the ceremony and dinner.

I love personal touches like this. When you are planning your wedding, think about what you enjoy doing together. A favorite activity can become a memorable part of the guest experience.

It also creates opportunities for candid photographs. Giving people something to enjoy lets the interactions happen naturally.

Why I Love Working With Everson Events

I always love working with Everson Events. Amanda and her team bring so much care to both the design and the experience of a wedding.

They make the day beautiful, but their work goes well beyond how everything looks. They answer questions, guide guests, and help each part of the celebration flow into the next.

As a photographer, that support makes a real difference. I can ask a question and know someone is available to help. Guests know where to go, and the vendor team can work together with clear direction.

That kind of planning gives a couple more room to enjoy their wedding. It also helps me stay focused on photographing the people and moments around them.

Amanda and her team are wonderful to work alongside. A + M’s celebration was another reminder of how much a thoughtful planning team adds to the day.

A Reception in the Orangerie With a Family Connection

Dinner and the reception took place in the Orangerie at Red Butte Garden. The bride’s dad actually designed the space, which made celebrating there especially meaningful.

I love learning details like that. A venue can be beautiful on its own, but a personal connection gives it another layer of meaning.

For this family, the Orangerie held more than the evening’s celebration. It connected the wedding to something the bride’s dad had helped create.

Celebrating With Their Favorite People

The vendor team brought together florals, food, drinks, desserts, and music for the evening. The entertainment included a DJ and live saxophone, with a string quartet also part of the wedding team.

Throughout the day, A + M had friends and family there to celebrate alongside them. From the Fragrance Garden ceremony to mini golf and the Orangerie reception, their wedding gave everyone ways to connect.

If you are planning a Red Butte Garden wedding, this day offers such lovely inspiration. Choose details that mean something to you, make space for your guests to enjoy themselves, and build a team you trust.

Planning a wedding in Salt Lake City or elsewhere in Utah? I would love to hear what you have in mind and photograph the moments that make it yours.
